There has been a lot of talk just lateley about unemployment etc i have just been talking to a fellow hotellier and he has been advertising for a room assistant (chambermaid) for about 8 weeks and not 1 reply.
Now i know it is not the most exiting job in the world or the best paid, but i would rather do this than sell magazines on Mostyn St.
why can't he get anyone to work for him?

Thats the problem here, most people would rather stand on the street scrounging.
Lots of the hotels in llandudno find it hard to get staff. We find that even if the candidate seems enthusiastic at the interview, nine out of ten don't turn up on the first day. Although in fairness our trade is seasonal and I assume people must looking for more permanent work, but that is the norm for most jobs available in Llandudno
